Andrew Burt
At the age of 13, Andrew first heard the sounds of Aerosmith and Kiss and decided he just had to learn how to play the guitar. He learned by playing along with the "records" of the aforementioned groups as well as Led Zeppelin and Rush. Ever since then it’s been hard to find Andrew without a guitar in his hand… be it practicing, studying, teaching or working on a gig.
Andrew has played in a wide variety of groups ranging from hard rock, to Latin, to oldies to jazz. He’s quite comfortable playing almost any style of music, and that includes classical. He began teaching guitar while attending Wolfman’s School of Music in Boston, MA. Today he owns the very successful ABC School of Music in Houston.
Even though the school takes up most of his time, Andrew still has that passion for performing with a group. He particularly enjoys working with The Barry Sea Paradox because of the wide variety of material the group plays, in addition to Smooth Jazz.
